Older and still standing
Stonehenge - probably one of the most famous prehistoric sites worldwide – is composed of big standing stones, older than your four grandparents added. According to Mike Parker-Pearson, Mike Pitts and Julian Richards from the Stonehenge Riverside Project, those stones date from 2300 BC. But the fact is the latest theories established show that they could be much older than this age, around 3000 BC. The other date would be the one when the stones were transported to their actual place. For the archaeologists who work on this project, that's very exciting to think those big things stood there years before us and still stand.

Encore plus vieilles, mais toujours debout
Stonehenge, probablement un des plus célèbres sites préhistoriques au monde, est composé de grandes pierres érigées, bien plus âgées que vos quatre grands parents réunis. D’après Mike Parker-Pearson, Mike Pitts and Julian Richards du projet Stonehenge Riverside, ces gros cailloux devraient dater d’environ 2300 avant J-C. Mais le fait est que les dernières recherches montrent qu’elles pourraient être bien plus vieilles que cela et remonter à 3000 avant JC, l’ancienne date étant celle à laquelle les pierres ont été transportées à leur place actuelle. Pour les archéologues travaillant sur ce projet, c’est très excitant de penser que ces grosses choses sont ici depuis si longtemps et y resteront longtemps encore.
