Death of an innocent child

 British jihadist Shamima Begum’s baby has died in a Syrian refugee camp. 

On Saturday 9 March, the government was the subject of strong criticism in the United Kingdom after the announcement of the death of a baby in Syria.

The baby died of pneumonia, according to a medical certificate. He was less than three weeks old.

Although she had been deprived of her British nationality, Shamima Begum had expressed in February her desire to return to the United Kingdom with her son Jarrah born in February, but she did not regret leaving for Syria and the government declined her request.

This statement had shocked British public opinion, marked by a series of attacks in 2017 claimed by Daesh. 

An ONG Save the children said that the death of the baby could have been avoided.

ONG save the children: commonly known as Save the Children, is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children's rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.

British newspaper Daily Mail forced to correct report on Saint-Denis

The British newspaper had presented the commune of Seine-Saint-Denis as a "parallel state where allegiance to Islam comes before fidelity to France" and where "350 jihadists" live. A new corrective article was published last Wednesday.

Published on July 28, 2018, this 2,000-word article was entitled "Powder Keg Paris" and was written by Andrew Malone. The text described the Seine-Saint-Denis sub-prefecture as "a state within the state, with its own religious rules and courts", and where "speaking Arabic is more useful than French".

 The article provoked an outcry. The Muslim Council of Britain, an association of British Muslims, had filed a complaint with the Independent Press Standards Organization, Marwan Muhammad, former director of the Collective against islamophobia in France, had strongly denounced the inconsistencies and imprecisions of this article.

As result of these many confusions, the publication of a lot of unjustified information. The Daily Mail newspaper apologized in its corrective article.  

The Muslim Council of Britain: is a national umbrella body with over 500 mosques, educational and charitable associations affiliated to it. It includes national, regional, local, and specialist Muslim organizations and institutions from different ethnic and sectarian backgrounds within British Islamic society.

Le Daily Mail contraint de rectifier un reportage sur Saint-Denis

Le journal anglais a présenté la commune de Seine Saint-Denis comme « Un Etat parallèle où l’allégeance de l’islam passe avant la fidélité de la France » et où vivaient « 350 djihadistes ». Un nouvel article corrigé a été publié mercredi dernier.

Publié le 28 juillet 2018, l’article de 2000 mots été intitulé "Powder Keg Paris" (La poudrière de Paris), écrit par le journaliste Andrew Malone. 

L’article décrit la sous-préfecture de Seine Saint-Denis comme « Un Etat dans l’Etat avec ses propres règles et ses tribunaux religieux », et où « parler l’arabe est plus utile que le français ».

La publication, l’article a provoqué un scandale.

Le Muslim council of Britain, une association de musulmans britanniques a porté plainte auprès de l'Independent Press Standards Organisation, Marwan Muhammad, ancien directeur du Collectif contre l'islamophobie en France, a dénoncé les contradictions et les imprécisions de cet article.

Suite à ces nombreuses confusions, la publication de nombreuses informations non justifiées ou fausses, le Daily Mail a présenté des excuses dans un article rectifié.

Lady of the Hills finally identified

According to a thorough investigation by the police, a missing woman known as "The Lady of the Hills" in 2004 was identified by the police through DNA tests with members of her family in Thailand.

The North Yorkshire police that the woman who was discovered near Pen-y-Gent, was Lamduan Armitage, a woman, according to the police, aged 25 to 35 years and originally from Southeast Asia.

She reportedly moved to the United Kingdom in 1991 with her husband, David Armitage after living in Portsmouth, Rugby, and Preston between 1991 and 2004 and then married in Thailand.

Her husband reportedly stated that he had nothing to do with his wife's death.

The woman was reportedly found by walkers in a stream 2 km from the nearest road half naked, wearing only jeans, socks and a wedding ring, on 20 September 2004.

Mr. Harland, a police officer, said she was killed and moved to Ribblesdale in an SUV.

D’après une enquête approfondie par la police, une femme disparue connue sous le nom de “La Dame des Collines” en 2004 aurait été identifiée par la police grâce à des test ADN avec des membres de la famille de celle-ci en Thaïlande. La police de North Yorkshire que la femme qui a été découverte près de Pen-y-Gent, était Lamduan Armitage, une femme, de 25 à 35 ans et originaire d'Asie du Sud-est, d’après la police.

Accusé du meurtre de sa femme enceinte il y a 20 ans

Andrew Griggs, 56 ans, est aujourd'hui accusé du meurtre de sa femme enceinte Debbie Griggs, décédée il y a 20 ans.

La mère de 34 ans avait trois enfants et était enceinte de son quatrième lorsqu’elle a disparu de Walmer dans le Deal le soir du 5 mai 1999. Sa voiture a été retrouvée une semaine plus tard.

Le détective Paul Fotheringham a déclaré : « Malgré des recherches approfondies et des demandes de renseignements , les détectives n’ont pas pu trouver Debbie . »

Monsieur Griggs, de Ringwood Road, St Leonards, Dorset, a été placé en détention provisoire et comparaîtra devant la Cour de la Couronne de Maidstone le 14 mars.



Accused of murdering his pregnant wife 20 years ago

Andrew Griggs, 56, is today accused of murdering his pregnant wife Debbie Griggs, who died 20 years ago.

The 34 years mother had three kids and was pregnant of his fourth child when she went missing from Walmer in Deal on the evening of 5 May 1999. Her car was found a week later.

Det Paul Fotheringham said: "Despite extensive searches and appeals for information detectives were unable to locate Debbie."

Mr Griggs, of Ringwood Road, St Leonards, Dorset, has been remand in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 14 March.
