Dangerous security
A warning was issued December 1 on the use of Russian anti-virus software, which would feature spyware operated by the Russians according to the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC).
Kaspersky Labs, widely used by individuals and large corporations around the world, is accused by the UK of espionage. They deny the facts and claim this is over prevention on the part of the NCSC instead of actual acts of espionage.
Ian Levy, NCSC's technical director, said: "Given we assess the Russians launch cyber-attacks against the UK, we believe some UK government and critical national systems are at increased risk."
What, Eugene Kaspersky, chief executive and co-founder of the company, told me: "We don't do anything wrong. We would never do that. It's simply not possible."
He denied claims the Russian state could use the company.
"It's not true that the Russian state has access to the data. There are no facts about that," he added.
Finaly, after events, Mr Kaspersky would move his company out of the country.
Une sécurité pas très sure
Un avertissement a été publié le 1er décembre sur l’utilisation de logiciels anti-virus russes, qui seraient d’après le centre national de cybersécurité, exploités par les Russes à des fins d’espionnage.
Kaspersky Labs, dont les logiciels sont très utilisés par les particuliers et les grandes entreprises dans le monde entier, est accusé par les Britanniques d’espionnage au profit des Russes, mais ces derniers nient les faits en exprimant un sentiment de prévention de la part de la NCSC au lieu de réels actes d’espionnages.
Ian Levy, directeur technique du NCSC, a déclaré: «Étant donné la nature de cyber attaques russes contre le Royaume-Uni, nous pensons que certains systèmes nationaux sensibles courent un risque accru».
Ce à quoi Eugene Kaspersky, directeur général et co-fondateur de la société, a répondu « Nous ne faisons rien de mal, nous ne ferions jamais une chose pareille, ce n'est tout simplement pas possible. »
L’Etat Russe a nié avoir utilisé l'entreprise : « Il est faux de prétendre que la Russie a accès aux données, il n'y a rien de tangible à ce sujet. »
Suite à ces évènements, M. Kaspersky souhaiterait déplacer son entreprise hors de Russie.

A historical day
Why is November 11 a red-letter day? Why did people observe two-minute silence at the Royal Festival of Remembrance in the Royal Albert Hall and everywhere else in the UK?
Actually, it was to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the end of World War I, started in 1914 and ended in 1918. This year was also commemorated the 100th birthday of Dame Vera Lynn and with her the centenaries of women's service in the regular Armed Forces, the Battle of Passchendaele and the creation of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
In England this event took place at exactly 11 a.m, but why ?
Since King George V announced that a two-minute silence would be observed in 1919, four days before the first anniversary of Armistice Day, the silence continues to be observed every year on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
In London, a lot of people gathered for this event like the Prime Minister, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cambridge and a lot of artists such as British singers Emeli Sande, Tom Odell, Melanie C, Alfie Boe, the Band of HM Royal Marines and many others.

Mais pourquoi le 11 novembre est-il un jour férié ? Pourquoi ce 11 novembre au Royal Festival of Remembrance au Royal Albert Hall et dans tout le Royaume-Unis a-t-on observé 2 minutes de silence ?
Eh bien, c’était pour célébrer les 99 ans de la fin de la première guerre mondiale, qui débuta en 1914 et se termina en 1918.
Ce samedi fut également célébré le 100ème anniversaire de Verra Lynn une chanteuse surtout connue pendant la guerre (1939-1945), le centenaire du service des femmes dans les Forces armées régulières, la Bataille de Passchendaele et la création de la Commission des Monuments aux morts du Commonwealth.
En Angleterre, cet événement se déroula exactement à 11 heures, mais pourquoi ?
Depuis que le Roi George V a annoncé que deux minutes de silence serait observées en 1919 en mémoire des soldats tombés durant la première guerre mondiale, quatre jours avant le premier anniversaire de l'Armistice, ce rituel revient chaque année à la 11e heure du 11ème jour du 11ème mois.
À Londres, de nombreuses personnalités étaient réunies pour cet événement comme le Premier ministre, le Prince de Galles, la Duchesse de Cambridge et de nombreux artistes comme les chanteurs britanniques Emeli Sande, Tom Odell, Melanie C, Alfie Boe, l'Orchestre de la Marine royale et bien d'autres.

Dust cloud over London
Last Monday, the sky over England appeared to glow orange and yellow because of a strange phenomenon caused by Storm Ophelia.
This fantastic moment led many people to joke that the apocalypse had arrived but actually, the storm was pushing warm air from Africa and Saharan dust northwards. It didn't just change the color of sky, it hit Ireland and caused three dead and a lot of damage. according to experts the storm charted course to the UK, more precisely to Northern Ireland. The hurricane resulted in the cancellation of many flightsin the airports of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Ciel de poussière au-dessus de Londres
Lundi dernier , le ciel de Londres avait pris une teinte orange en raison d’un phénomène étrange provoqué par la tempête Ophélia, ce qui a suscité des plaisanteries sur l’imminence de la fin du monde.
En vérité ce moment rare a été provoqué par la tempête Ophélia qui a poussé l'air chaud d’Afrique du nord et sa poussière sahariennevers le nord. Mais ce changement de couleur du ciel n’a pas été la seule conséquence de cet ouragan qui a touché une grande partie del’Irlande, faisant trois morts et beaucoup de dégâts. Selon les experts, l'ouragan a continué son chemin vers le Royaume-Uni plus précisément vers l’Irlande du nord. l'ouragan a provoqué l'annulation de nombreux vols dans les aéroports d’Irlande et d’Irlande du nord

Running scared
October 7 - a woman who was indecently assaulted while running says she has been overwhelmed by people saying they have had similar experiences.
The 48-year-old victim was grabbed by a man as she was jogging in Sherwood Rise, Nottingham.
The Nottinghamshire Police are treating the incident.
The suspect is Asian, about 30, 6ft (1.8m) tall, he was carrying a large backpack containing tennis racquets.
The woman was running along Claremont Road, Sherwood, at about 18:30 on Tuesday when the man grabbed her.
She said: ‘‘I started to make quite a lot of noise and really yelled at him and then carried on running.’’
‘‘One of the most shocking things was how unfazed he was.’’
After posted what had happened on Facebook and received many messages of support from women of all ages. She said, it’s really important women speak out when this happens.

Victimes solidaires
Le 7 octobre dernier aux alentours de 18h30, une femme de 48 ans, qui faisait son jogging, a été agressée.
Suite à l’enquête menée par la police de Nottingham, un suspect de 30 ans d’origine indo-pakistanaise, mesurant 1m80, est toujours en examen. Lors de son interpellation, le suspect portait un grand sac a dos contenant des raquettes de tennis.
Elle a posté le récit des événements sur son compte Facebook et dit avoir reçu de nombreux message d’encouragement et de soutien: « J’ai crié et appelé à l’aide tout en me débattant et je suis parvenue à m’enfuir.» «La chose la plus choquante était qu’il semblait imperturbable.»
Elle encourage toutes les femmes dans sa situation à ne pas garder cela pour elles et à ne pas hésiter à se confier.

An explosive murder attempt in Londonderry
On February 22, in Londonderry, Northern
Ireland, a bomb exploded outside a
police officer’s house.
It exploded as army bomb experts were in the process of making it safe.
As of yet, the police haven’t confirmed whether somebody got hurt or not
from the explosions.
The explosive was found under a car in the morning at Ardanlee.
The police haven’t yet caught a culprit, but according to them, the device
- considered more sophisticated than a
pipe bomb - was planted by dissident republicans.
Many officers stated that it was an attempted murder and that it is
fortunate that it failed.
The neighbors were evacuated and up to now the area is still under
quarantine.
The residents, who are accustomed to a peaceful life, are traumatized and
distressed by this event.
They are also furious that the bomb could not only have harmed the officer involved, but also everyone living around.

De nombreux policiers ont déclaré qu’il s’agissait d’une tentative d’assassinat, et que
c’est une chance qu’elle ait échoué.
Les voisins
ont été évacués, et jusqu’à maintenant, la zone est toujours en quarantaine.
Les
habitants, qui sont habitués à une vie paisible, sont traumatisés par cet
évènement, ils sont aussi furieux que la bombe aurait
pu non seulement blesser l’officier en question, mais aussi toutes les
personnes aux alentours.

Royal support
Royal support
On January 11, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Kate,
visited the Child Bereavement UK's Stratford centre, to celebrate its first
anniversary as Prince Harry is its royal
patron.
Child Bereavement UK is a charity that provides support for families whose child is facing bereavement,
or when a child of any age dies or is dying.
There they met some of the families and children the charity helped, after
being welcomed by the staff, including the volunteers, and the chief executive
Ann Chalmers.
Prince Harry and Kate attended one of the Family Support Group sessions,
where they made “memory jars” with the children.
These sessions can help families to move on when someone important in their
lives has died, to no longer feel pain or sorrow.
Prince Harry also talked with the children about how he lost a family
member too, his mother Diana, Princess of
Wales.
He said that it is very important to talk about the feelings you have when
you lose someone dear, even if it happened a long time ago.

Bereavement UK est une association, dont Harry
est le parrain et qui soutient les familles lorsqu’un enfant fait face
au deuil, ou qu’un enfant de tout âge meurt ou est en train de mourir.
Là-bas, ils
ont rencontré les familles et enfants que l’association a aidés, après avoir
été accueilli par le personnel, notamment les bénévoles, et la directrice Ann Chalmers.
Le prince
Harry et Kate ont assisté à l’une des séances du groupe de soutien des
familles, où ils ont fait des bocaux à souvenirs
avec les enfants.
Ces séances
aident les familles à tourner la page lorsque qu’un
proche meurt, à ne plus ressentir de la douleur et du chagrin.
Le prince
Harry a aussi discuté avec les enfants à propos de comment il a aussi perdu un
membre de sa famille, sa mère Diana,
princesse de Galles.
Il a déclaré qu’il était important de parler de ses
sentiments lorsque qu’un être cher mourait,
même si cela s’est passé il y a longtemps.

In February 2014, in the “Clear” pharmacy in Station
Road, Antrim, a pharmacist called Martin White gave to grandmother Ethna Walsh the wrong pills for her treatment.
She actually needed a drug called prednisolone but was
given a box of propranolol instead.
Prednisolone is used in medicine for its
anti-inflammatory effects, but propranolol is used to reduce stress, more
precisely, the bloodstream.
According to his defense lawyer, Martin mistook the
propranolol for the prednisolone because the boxes were next to each other and
were similar in appearance.
When Ethna came back home, her husband gave her the
drug. She then started to have trouble breathing, and later died at the
hospital.
Before the incident, Martin complained to his general practitioner about
his working conditions and his overall tiredness.
Now, he is wracked with guilt, and too scared to go back to work because of
it. He sees a psychiatrist to overcome his
“remorse”.
He will be judged later this month.

l’incident, Martin s’était plaint à son
médecin généraliste de ses conditions de
travail et de sa fatigue générale.
Aujourd’hui,
il est rongé par la culpabilité, et il se sent
trop angoissé pour reprendre son travail. Il consulte un psychiatre pour surmonter ses « remords ».
Il sera jugé
ce mois-ci.
