JIM MURPHY, NOUVEAU dirigeant DU PARTI  TRAVAILLISTE ECOSSAIS

Jim Murphy a été élu à la tête du Parti travailliste écossais.

Il a obtenu 55,8% des voix et l’a emporté devant Neil Findlay (34,5%) ancien ministre écossais et Sarah Boyack (9%).

Murphy, ex-député d’East Renfrewshire et ancien Secrétaire d’ Etat pour l'Ecosse était le favori après la démission du précédent dirigeant Johann Lamont qui occupait ce poste depuis près de trois ans.

Jim Murphy a déclaré que c’était un honneur et un rêve d’être chef du parti travailliste écossais, c’est un nouveau départ pour celui-ci.

Il a dit qu’il est très ambitieux sur ce parti car il est ambitieux pour le développement de l’écosse et a déclaré qu'il comptait défaire le SNP dans les élections écossaise en 2016 et devenir premier ministre. Dans le même temps la députée écossaise Kezia Dugdale a été élue au poste d’adjointe.

Jim Murphy lorgne vers le poste de Premier ministre écossais actuellement occupé par Nicola Sturgeon. Son objectif principal est de combattre la pauvreté et les inégalités.

Jim Murphy affirme que contrairement au SNP, il va financer son programme de justice sociale en imposant les plus aisés.

Jim Murphy hérite d'un parti qui a subi une crise de confiance et une crise d'identité et se trouve en proie à des arguments structurels et des désaccords politiques. Aujourd'hui Jim Murphy s’est décrit comme un socialiste qui croit en la redistribution des richesses.

JIM MURPHY, NEW LEADER OF THE SCOTTISH LABOUR PARTY

Jim Murphy,  the former Scretary of State for Scotland was elected as the new leader of the Scottish Labour party.

Murphy took 55, 8% of the votes to defeat Holyrood spokesman of the health Neil Findlay (34, 5%) and former executive Scottish Secretary Sarah Boyack (9%) to win the leadership. The East Renfrewshire MP and former Secretary of state for Scotland had been favorite to take away the race started by the resignation of the previous leader Johann Lamont after almost three years in the post.

Jim Murphy said that it is an honor and a dream to be leader of the Scottish Labour party. He said it is a new start for the Labour party and added that he is very ambitious for the party because he is ambitious for the development of Scotland and declared that he aimed to defeat the SNP in the Scottish elections in 2016 and become Scotland’s Prime Minister.

At the same time MSP Kezia Dugdate was elected deputy head of the new party.

Jim Murphy aims to replace Scottish Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

He claims he wants to fight poverty and social inequalities and tax the rich.

Jim Murphy inherits a party which underwent a crisis of confidence and an identity crisis and is currently in the grip of a structural and political debate.

Today Jim Murphy is described as a socialist who believed in wealth redistribution but also as a realist.

Jim Murphy is confronted to a very tough competition in the race to become Prime Minister of the Scotland.

La tragédie de la M25

The M25 tragedy

Friday evening, around 7 pm, a Sudanese who tried to join London from Calais died on the M25 by falling from the truck to which he was hanging. Unfortunately this same truck rolled over him.

Two men native from Sudan had climbed under a foreign lorry in the French port of Calais on Friday morning. The vehicle, after crossing the Channel Tunnel, took the direction of London and ended up joining the M25.

At about 19:00, while the truck was stationary on lane one of the motorways, one of the men went down to the edge of the grass nearby. Apparently, the second man tried to do the same, but the truck started to move away. He fell under the rear wheels of the truck that caused him fatal injuries.

A traveler stopped his vehicle and moved the injured man on the side, he then abandoned him. Thereafter a second traveler stopped his vehicle too and offered his help to the injured.

            After the death of the Sudanese, the truck driver was researched by the police, eventually he said he was not aware of the "murder" that he committed and therefore he was released.

The number of migrant temptations to UK via Calais has increased by 50% in recent years. The reason is that more and more people are fleeing the humanitarian crises in Africa.

Vendredi soir, aux alentours de 19h, un Soudanais qui tentait de joindre Londres depuis Calais a trouvé la mort sur la M25 en chutant du camion auquel il était suspendu. Ce même camion lui a malheureusement roulé dessus.

                     

Deux hommes originaires du Soudan avaient grimpés sous un camion étranger dans le port français de Calais vendredi matin. Le véhicule, après avoir traversé le tunnel sous la Manche, a pris la direction de Londres et a fini par rejoindre la M25.

Vers 19h, tandis que le camion stationnait sur la voie une de l’autoroute, l'un des hommes est descendu au bord de l'herbe à proximité. Apparemment, le deuxième homme a essayé de faire de même, mais le camion a commencé à s’éloigner. Il est tombé sous les roues arrière du camion qui lui ont causés des blessures mortelles.

Un voyageur a arrêté son véhicule et a déplacé l'homme blessé sur le côté, il l'a ensuite abandonné. Par la suite un second voyageur a également arrêté son véhicule et a offert son aide au blessé.

Après la mort du Soudanais, le conducteur du camion a été recherché par la police. Finalement, il a dit qu'il n’était pas au courant du "meurtre" qu'il avait commis, et a donc été libéré.

Le nombre de tentatives d’immigration vers le Royaume-Uni depuis Calais a augmenté de 50% au cours des dernières années. La raison est que de plus en plus de personnes fuient les crises humanitaires en Afrique.

Driverless cars set to be tested in four English cities

Driverless cars will be tested in four English cities (Greenwich, Bristol, Coventry and Milton Keynes). The tests will start on January 1st and will last between 18 and 36 months at a cost of nearly £19m.

                                   

Greenwich will host the Gateway scheme led by the Transport Research Laboratory consultancy and involving General Motors and the AA and RAC motoring associations. It will test the automated passenger shuttle vehicles and autonomous valet parking for adapted cars.

Bristol will host the Venturer consortium involving Axa insurance group. The Venturer consortium’s purpose is to investigate how driverless cars can reduce congestion and make roads safer.

A self-drive car simulator will make a photorealistic 3D model of the area to study how people react to sharing the driving of a vehicle with a computer.

Milton Keynes and Coventry will host the UK Autodrive programme involving Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover and the engineering consultancy firm Arup.

This programme will test self-drive cars on the road and develop the technologies and the infrastructure needed for these self-drive cars to aid the vehicle navigation.

They will begin testing single vehicles on closed roads to demonstrate to users, legislators, the police and insurance companies that these driverless cars can operate safely on the road.

Des voitures sans conducteur vont être testées dans quatre villes anglaises (Greenwich, Bristol, Coventry et Milton Keynes). Les tests débuteront le 1er janvier et dureront entre 18 à 36 mois pour un budget d’environ 19 millions de livres.

                                  

Greenwich accueillera le Gateway Scheme (le Projet Passerelle), mené par le Transport Research Laboratory Consultancy et le groupe General Motors. Les associations d'automobilistes AA et RAC collaboreront à ces tests .

Ce Gateway Scheme permettra de tester des navettes de passagers automatisées et un service de voiturier autonome pour les véhicules destinés aux personnes handicapées.

Bristol accueillera le consortium Venturer , impliquant le groupe d'assurance Axa. Le consortium Venturer a pour but d'étudier la façon dont les voitures sans conducteur peuvent permettre de réduire les embouteillages et de rendre les routes plus sûres.

Un simulateur fera un modèle 3D photoréaliste de la zone pour étudier comment les gens réagissent au fait de partager la conduite d'un véhicule avec son ordinateur.

Milton Keynes et Coventry accueilleront le programme UK Autodrive, auquel participeront les constructeurs Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover et le consultant en ingénierie Arup.

Ce programme permettra de tester les voitures sans conducteur sur ​​la route et de développer les technologies et les infrastructures dont ces véhicules auront besoin afin d’aider à la navigation du véhicule.

Ils commenceront par tester des véhicules particuliers sur des routes fermées afin de démontrer aux utilisateurs, aux législateurs, à la police et aux assureurs que ces voitures sans conducteur peuvent fonctionner en toute sécurité sur les routes.
